About Us
The Centre for Stem Cell Biology undertakes fundamental and applied research on the biology of pluripotent stem cells.
Our aim is to develop cell therapies for regenerative medicine and to use stem cells as tools for drug discovery. We are committed to developing the standards for stem cell biology through national and international collaboration.
The Centre is equipped with a wide range of modern instruments including flow cytometers, time-lapse microscopy and extensive tissue culture facilities. Further information can be found on our Facilities section.
Our stem cell lines have been banked with the UK Stem Cell Bank (UKSCB) and can be accessed via the UKSCB site. Shef3 and Shef6 can be acquired directly from us with the appropriate documentation.
